‚Spirit Halloween: The Movie‘ Art Teases One of the Monsters We’ll Be Meeting This Halloween

Official film Spirit Halloween: The Movie will bring the Halloween superstore onto the big screen this Halloween, and with the trailer on the way very soon, the official Spirit Halloween account over on Instagram has begun to tease some of the movie’s featured monsters.

One of them is named BUZZSAW, and the trading card-style artwork in today’s Instagram photo teases his appearance in the movie. The Instagram post also indicates that the official trailer will debut this weekend during a Spirit Halloween event, so expect it online real soon.

BUZZSAW is an existing original character from the Spirit Halloween collection, available as a 6-foot tall animatronic that you may have seen at Spirit Halloween stores in the past.

Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook star in the upcoming feature film.

David Poag directed Spirit Halloween, expected in October 2022.

Here’s the plot synopsis for the “family/kids adventure movie”…

“When a new Spirit Halloween store appears in a deserted strip mall, three middle-school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick-or-treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night. But they soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters.

“The kids embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.”

Donavan Colan (“Zoe”), Dylan Frankel (“Raven’s Home”), Jaiden Smith (“Blue Bloods”) and Marissa Reyes (“Raven’s Home”) will also star in Spirit Halloween: The Movie.

The film comes from Strike Back Studios, Hideout Pictures and Particular Crowd. “One of the reasons I immediately connected with the script is it is very much inspired by some of my favorite kid adventure films growing up from ‘The Goonies,’ ‘Gremlins,’ ‘Monster Squad’ and so many great films made by Amblin Entertainment,” said Noor Ahmed, president of Strike Back.
